I received this pan today and made dinner for the family with it. It works well. The lid is reasonably well-fitting. I'm commenting here to note that when I saw this deal I wondered if it was too good to be true, but it's in fact the genuine article. And also - this pan is significantly lighter than my five- or six-year-old all-clad stainless 12" fry pan (which needed replacing after operator error) - about 1.22 kg vs 1.38 kg according to my kitchen scale. That's a plus for ease of use and cleanup, but the reduced mass must mean less heat retention if the design hasn't changed.

A useful addition to any busy kitchen, this classic 12-inch stainless-steel fry pan comes in handy for anything from sauteing vegetables or frying tofu to cooking up scrambled eggs or hash browns on a Saturday morning. Measuring 12-4/5 by 20-1/2 by 3 inches overall, its design includes gently flared sides that make it easy to slide a veggie omelet from the pan to a plate.
The bestseller among All-Clad's renowned cookware collections, the Stainless line provides serious and professional cooks all the virtues that make All-Clad's worldwide reputation unsurpassed. Its three-ply bonded design features a thick aluminum core sandwiched between an inside layer of 18/10 stainless steel and an outside layer of magnetic stainless steel, which work together to ensure fast heat-up times and even heat distribution along the base and up the sides. In addition, the cookware's 18/10 stainless-steel interior won't react with food, which means tomato-based sauces and other acidic foods won't taste metallic, and its magnetic stainless-steel exterior allows for use on induction as well as conventional stovetops.
The cookware's solid stainless-steel handle stays cool to the touch and offers a comfortable, ergonomic grip, plus it comes riveted to the pan for safety and long-lasting strength. The versatile fry pan can go safely in the oven up to 500 degrees F and under the broiler, and it comes with a stainless-steel lid that helps keep in heat, moisture, and nutrients. When finished, clean the pan and its lid by hand (recommended) or in the dishwasher. Made in the USA, the cookware carries a limited lifetime warranty.

Zojirushi EF-VSC40 1300-Watt Electric Gourmet Roaster Review

Zojirushi EF-VSC40 1300-Watt Electric Gourmet Roaster
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I just ordered my 2nd zojirushi fish roaster today. The first one I had quit working after about 11 months of constant use - I used it to roast Pike Mackerel, Steaks, vegetables, salmon, etc. For the amount that I used it, Im not too angered or surprised that it broke, but I wish it would last a little longer.
The roaster is awesome at cooking steaks and fish - and it gets done VERY quickly. Somewhere around 10-15 minutes from a raw fish, all the way to it being nicely cooked, same with steaks.
When I first bought the unit, there was very little smoke, just a faint smell of fish or steak, and I was very pleased. I probably used this everyday, or every other day for 11 months, and towards the end of the 11 months, it started getting really smokey in the house ( I dont know if the filter was failing, or if it was just all the oil on the heating elements), and I had to start taking the roaster outside - I live in a small apartment so its not a big deal, as I have a patio that is very close to the kitchen. And at the end of the 11 months, when I was cooking a steak, I realized that the top heating element just quit working... for 120 bucks, and the amount I used it, Im not happy that I have to buy another one, but I cant say I didnt get my money's worth.
Here are some annoyances that I found using this thing:
1) The bottome reflector tray needs to be covered by tinfoil or something because the oil that drips on the reflector tray is near impossible to get off, and you will ruin a sponge trying to clean it
2) The water you need to put in the bottom of the unit after a while will discolor the bottom. I left water in there overnight once ( I forgot to clean it) and I had some rust at the bottom - not too big of a deal, but it makes the unit unsightly on the inside.
3) the Unit gets SUPER hot, so dont place anything on top of it or touch it during the cooking process - Its common sense I know, but one of my buddies burned himself by touching it. Hes not the fastest fish in the pack, so maybe that was to be expected, but its something you should be aware of.
4) The grill inside is not very adjustable, and it gets a lot of burnt charcoal stuck to it. Had to buy a special sponge ethat gets the charcoal off. not a big deal, but still a very slight annoyance. i can deal with it. Here are the good things:
1) You can plop a steak in there, or some tomatoes, fish, whatever, and it becomes nicely grilled. does what its meant to do, quite quickly.
2) makes me not have to use the stove or the oven - BIG PLUS.
3) relatively small footprint for what it does.

A healthy and efficient alternative to stovetop or oven cooking, this gourmet roaster delivers 1300 watts of power for quickly cooking anything from chicken, chops, or steaks to fish and veggies. Its stainless-steel roasting rack measures 13-13/16 by 8-5/16 inches, which means it can nicely accommodate large fish and meats up to 13 inches wide. The rack can also be set at two different heights and its design helps direct excess oil and fat away from food for lower-fat cooking. For added convenience, the countertop appliance comes equipped with top and bottom heating elements to ensure even cooking without having to turn food over, plus its floating reflector reflects heat from the bottom heater and reduces evaporation of water for a crispier finish. Other thoughtful details include an adjustable timer up to 30 minutes, a catalytic filter on the lid for reduced smoke, a flip-open lid, and parts that disassemble for easy cleaning. Accessories include a food-server utensil for removing cooked foods, including delicate fish fillets, and an instruction manual with suggested roasting times listed for pacific saury (sanma), dried jack mackerels, salmon steaks, tilapia, tilapia wrapped in foil, steaks, chops, hot dogs, sausages, and chicken. The gourmet roaster measures 11-5/8 by 19-1/8 by 7-1/2 inches and carries a one-year limited warranty on parts and labor.

We own one for over 6 years now. Love it. Only problem is that because it's mechanical (air pump), that eventually wears out. I think the seal in the pump need replacing. It used to to fill a cup with just one pump, but now takes 10 or more pumps.
Other than that, I love it. I am looking at purchasing a new one, the kind that uses electric pump.

Breville BOV650XL Compact 4-Slice Smart Oven with Element IQ Review

Breville BOV650XL Compact 4-Slice Smart Oven with Element IQ
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Like just about everyone else in the free world, I grew up with a GE Toast-R-Oven. I cooked everything from toast (of course) to pizza bagels (a great discovery back in the 70s) to TV dinners and even baked fish in it. When the one I received as a gift when I bought my first house finely gave up the ghost, I replaced it with a $100 Hamilton Beach tabletop convection oven could bake a whole loaf of bread, two pies or a meatloaf. It even had a rotisserie with a spit you could impale a chicken on, though I never tested this feature. I used it for several years, and it did everything you would expect of a compact toaster oven- except make toast. The burners were just too far apart.
Enter the Breville. Rather than the mechanical timer and temperature control of the Hamilton Beach (and the GE before it) this unit has fully electronic control that promises to be more accurate in both functions. It can handle (they say) a 12" pizza, and 4 slices of toast. So how does all this work in practice?
As a toaster, it's great. It toasts more evenly than my $20 Target toaster, and the slide out crumb tray makes cleaning easy. Repeatability if excellent, and of course you can watch the bread/bagel/whatever as it toasts, keeping an eye out for burning. It compensates for heat buildup when you toast multiple items in sequence- a major help. Still, for close to $200 you expect more than just toast from a machine like this.
I haven't tried baking a pie yet, but I did do some miniature muffins, and they came out fine. I haven't done any bread yet, as it's just too small to handle a standard loaf of the size I bake. Maybe I can make some buns or rolls in it.
The timer function is a bit annoying in the way it works. You set the time and temperature, and when it comes up to temperature, it starts the countdown. This is fine for frozen pizzas and TV dinners, but less helpful for bakers trying to control the baking environment. I'd prefer something that would come up to temperature and then wait for me to start the timer.
Half the functions on the main knob are for preset cooking programs- like the microwave ovens in lunchrooms that have buttons labeled "soup", "sandwich", and so forth. There's a "cookies" function, but I have dozens of different cookie recipes with different time and temperature settings. This program is useless to me.
So: A great toaster, and a useful oven for baking very small items. It's a little deeper than the old Toast-R-Oven, but still not big enough to handle more than a quarter sheet of cookies or a small pie. Useful, for what it is, but given the price, it's getting close to being a luxury easy bake oven. I think the Breville BOV800XL The Smart Oven 1800-Watt Convection Toaster Oven with Element IQ, which adds convection and a somewhat larger oven is a better deal overall, and if you really want a useful secondary oven, something like my Hamilton Beach 31197R Countertop Oven with Convection and Rotisserie is a lot more flexible.
Followup:
After a little over three months of using this oven, I'm more convinced than ever that this is a superb (if expensive) toaster. Unlike the pop-up toaster on my counter, you can precisely set the actual toasting time- very handy- and you can watch until you get the precise shade of browning you're looking for.
I'm also becoming more favorably inclined to its use as an oven, too. It's still a bit small for most baking uses, but it's big enough for roasting peppers or baking a few potatoes, or even a tiny batch of cookies. I still think the larger version is a better all-around appliance, but for a tiny apartment kitchen this may be a good choice.
Six month update:
I find I've been using this oven more and more for all my toasting and small baking needs- it's even taking over some of the tasks I used to do in my microwave. It's still reliable, easy to maintain, and the accurate electronic timer is a great improvement over the mechanical timers in cheaper ovens in both accuracy and reliability.

Similar to the Breville Smart Oven, but in a smaller, more compact design, this 1800-watt oven offers exceptional cooking convenience while taking up less space on the counter. The unit's 3/5-cubic-foot nonstick interior can accommodate a 12-inch pizza or four slices of bread at a time, while its push-button and turn-knob control panel makes it easy to program. Turn the control dial to select the function--options include Toast, Bagel, Bake, Roast, Broil, Pizza, Cookies, and Reheat. The oven's Element IQ "smart" sensor technology puts the power where it's needed most to ensure energy-efficient operation. For each of the eight pre-set functions, Element IQ automatically adjusts the power and calculates the cooking time. The time and temperature for the pre-set programs can also be manually adjusted to accommodate individual preferences--the oven will even remember the new settings for next time.
Use the second control dial for setting the time (from one minute up to two hours) and for adjusting the temperature (from 120 to 450 degrees F), as well as for selecting the number of slices and for setting the toast shade, from light to dark. The control panel also offers a large start/cancel button, a defrost button for frozen foods, and a temperature-conversion button for recipes with cooking temperatures in Celsius. The oven's easy-to-read backlit LCD screen shows the current function, temperature, and adjustments made--plus it illuminates orange to indicate preheating and cooking, then blue to indicate the end of the cooking cycle. Other highlights include a tempered-glass door, three rack positions, and a front-access removable crumb tray for quick cleanup. Accessories include a 10-by-10-inch enamel baking pan and a 10-by-10-inch enamel broil rack. Attractively housed in coated steel with a strikingly modern design, the countertop oven measures 16-1/2 by 14-1/4 by 10 inches and carries a one-year limited warranty.

Lodge Logic 11-1/4-Inch Pre-Seasoned Grill Pan Review

Lodge Logic 11-1/4-Inch Pre-Seasoned Grill Pan
Average Reviews:

I honestly cannot say enough good things about this pan. At first I was skeptical and a little hesistant about cooking with cast iron. Growing up in the south I knew the magic of cast iron cornbread made with fatback, but I also knew the special care that went into seasoning the beloved pieces of cookware. When I saw that this was preseasoned I went for it. I worried that it might be a lightweight pan and only sublime quality for the price but I was pleasantly surprised. This pan has a heavy weight to it and is crafted solidly. I've used it for hamburgers (they make the best I've ever tasted), grilled chicken, pork chops, and shrimp (YUM). Something I learned is that things tend to stick a little so coating the pan with vegetable spray is a good idea. Also, try soaking your shrimp in a mixture of butter and garlic before grilling it. I am in love, it hasn't even left my kitchen counter to go into the cabinet since I bought it because I use it so much. My husband being a Yankee wasn't used to the goodness of the cast iron but now that he sees how perfectly it browns meat while still leaving it moist he is hooked. With this pan I find the grooves to be so helpful. You can season the meat without worrying about all the seasoning burning to the pan. Also they're nice and deep so that the fat that does run off actually stays off the meat. Cleaning it is SO easy! I just run hot water into the pan while it's still hot from the stove then use a sponge or dish towel (NO SOAP) to wipe it out, rinse it off, and then spray with vegetable spray while it's warm before putting it away. I have to say that Lodge has a loyal fan in me. With quality old time cookware like this, without the hassle of seasoning it first you can't go wrong.

I've had this product for at least six years and used it frequently until the last year. The numbers have almost completely disappeared after wiping down the top. I even tried not to wipe it much when I saw it happening but it's almost impossible to use the oven now and remember where the dial needs to be for what temp or time. I wanted to ask the company if they had a template they could send me but they don't have the product any more.
Would someone here be able to figure out how to make a template from their oven and send to me????

Presto 03430 Pizzazz Pizza Oven Review

Presto 03430 Pizzazz Pizza Oven

First of all it's not perfect. The non-stick coating is thin on the pan, and can get scratched off easy. Plus, there's no easy way to clean off the brown, spots you get from baking. All that aside, this is a great device if you like homemade, and frozen varieties of pizza.
I used to try all kinds of tricks to get a frozen pizza to taste good. I'd microwave them partially first, I'd bake them directly on the oven rack; I'd try greasing the pan, or not greasing it. I had some success with these techniques, but it was a lot of work. This oven does the job, and gets the pizza cooked the way you want it. An easy flip switch on the top, can turn the heat on both sides, just the top, or just the bottom. You control the crispness, and the degree of browning on your pizza.
This oven is also great for baking those commercial, "take and bake" pizzas, from shops like Pappa Murphy's. Further, its better for reheating leftover pizzeria pizza than your microwave. What more can you want? I wanted just one thing, a 14" model. While most frozen pizza is 12" or smaller, you cannot heat one any larger. One final caution, rising crust pizzas will sometimes bubble, or rise into the top-heating element. It's a good idea to stay in the general area while the pizza is cooking, or it can potentially start a fire.

I have owned this toaster oven for several years now & the paint on the inside of the toaster at the back has begun peeling off in large chunks. The door also does not want to close properly & I have to jiggle & slam it to get it to close all the way. It's performance over the past few years has been OK. It does not toast evenly but apparently that's common for toaster ovens. It does not turn off automatically when you open the oven door which can be a plus. I did appreciate the fact that you can flip the rack over which gives you 2 height settings to choose from for toasting/baking.

6 Slice Toaster Oven Broiler Review

Even though our toaster oven still worked, it was starting to look worn and old with burn marks and such. Came across this as I was looking for a replacement before entertaining for the holidays. Decided to upgrade to a convection style oven, despite the fact that we have a double wall oven...thought this might be good for heating up left overs and such. I think this is really more for someone in an apartment without a conventional oven. My first observation is that the present buttons for your common cooking tasks (ie. toast, bagels, pizza etc. )are small and difficult to read without my glasses.
The function of the oven itself is fine, however there is a learning curve and you must read the operating manual to figure this out. Not a plug and play model and not the friendliest UI by any means. Having the unit for only a few days, these are my initial observations....wondering if I should have just gotten a simple toaster oven instead. Time will tell, I will follow-up after I see how family friendly the unit is

I purchased this toaster oven because I owned the previous model and loved it. This new one was such a disappointment! The old model had a push on and off buttons. This model had a dial. This was the huge downfall on this model! The dial constantly sticks and burns everything unless your watch over it the entire time and manually force the dial to the off position. If you check other sights for reviews of this toaster oven(like I should have done in the first place) before buying this toaster oven you will find that there are MANY people that have the same problems and more. Bottom line DON'T BUY THIS TOASTEROVEN! Big waste of money and time! I will tell you though I just recently purchased an Oster 6058 6-Slice Digital Convection Toaster Oven and so far I love it. I've had it for about a month and a half and no problems so far and I've also seen really good reviews for the Oster Toaster Oven from others on other sights.

I have gone through 3 or 4 toaster ovens over the years and this is the ONE. My wife loves it too, which is all that really matters.
The fan bake is the best, food gets done quick and the food is actually properly browned and crispy. I love the light inside the unit and the digital readout ensures the temp. is correct and the timer keeps me from over cooking the food.
Something that is neat about this unit is that it has a quick function guide that pulls out from the bottom so you don't have to keep the user guide around in case you want to figure out what the pizza settings mean, etc.
My only complaint is that the display doesn't seem centered (the top and side has a white border, the bottom and right side doesn't). In addition it is pretty bright. A good night light I guess.
I would recommend this unit, it is just like William Sonoma unit (minus the dehydrator function and no stainless steel top/side casing).

Black & Decker SpaceMaker Traditional Toaster Ovens Review

Black and Decker SpaceMaker Traditional Toaster Ovens
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I purchased our toaster earlier this week before having read any reviews about it here. I reviewed many, many other toasters/ovens on Amazon, then went to Target with a couple in mind that were in stock. In general, I'm extremely disappointed in the quality of all toasters/toaster ovens out there right now. They felt like cheap aluminum boxes mass produced in China. Our Krups toaster oven has been with us for 10 or 15 years and was wonderful. In any case, while getting disgusted at what Target did have available, around the corner in the aisle with all the Black and Decker SpaceMaker items I found this toaster and with a good sale price.
I get it home, quickly come here and see horror story after horror story. I'm wondering if I should even open the box or just take it back to Target immediately. Well, luckily I ignored the reviews here. Our SpaceMaker can opener has been wonderful and I was going to give this toaster a shot.
Having been forewarned about all the problems and headaches others have had with installation, I read all the instructions, took my time, laid everything out, checked, double checked and even triple checked before drilling any holes. Everything installed fine - no problems whatsoever. I didn't need 4 hands, extra spacers, longer screws, and didn't have any issues which others bring up. The instructions are fairly clear, and for anything which wasn't, anyone with some spacial acumen can figure out how things need to fit together. The instruction booklet was also very clear that if you needed additional spacers, to simply call them and they'd send them free of charge.
So, the toaster was installed a few days ago and looks beautiful in the location of our old toaster oven, but we now find ourselves with more counter space - just wonderful. A couple days go by and finally someone wants a toasted bagel for breakfast. Instead of blindly setting the knob for how long to toast and walking away, we did the unthinkable - we watched it toast to get an idea of how long it takes. The reason people are saying it burns their toast is because the heating elements are powerful and it toasts quickly. What's the big deal with that? Our Krups toaster oven had two heating elements on the top and two on the bottom. I was slightly concerned because this one has only one on the top and one on the bottom - however, these are thicker, they heat up extremely quickly, and they are more powerful. So, we made a guess how long we should set the timer, watched, and turned it off when done - just a tad shorter than we estimated. It also toasted evenly - no complaints.
Long story short - ignore the reviews here that do nothing but complain.
1. Read all the instructions when installing
2. Double and triple check location of holes and hood before drilling
3. First few times cooking with it, watch how long things take before being bold enough to set the timer and walk away. It's powerful - that's a good thing.

No need to give up valuable counter space for the convenience of a toaster oven thanks to this thoughtfully designed appliance. Furthermore, its Save-a-Plug outlet makes it possible to connect a SpaceMaker Mini Food Processor/Grinder or Can Opener directly into the toaster oven, saving the wall outlet for other uses. For 6 months, I had only a toaster oven, so I used it to cook everything. This pan set was perfect, and surprisingly great quality. I used either the cookie sheet or the cake pan nearly every day for roasting, baking, broiling. The nonstick is great, the metal is thick and sturdy. These don't seem cheesy at all, especially compared with other sets.
The pan's capacity is about the same as a square 8x8 or 9x9, so you don't have to change quantities for cornbread, brownies, etc.
Now I have a full oven, and no toaster oven anymore, but I still use these pans all the time to cook for just the 2 of us.
