It's funny, clear, and a good way to go beyond the ordinary for those of us who panic over preparing dinner. If you love to eat but are afraid to experiment with cooking, this is for you. The glossary is a Godsend for the novice, and the sections on how and what to substitute are essential. Even if you don't want to cook, this is an entertaining read. I say buy it today!

(More customer reviews)I love this cookbook. It has a nice layout and I like the way it's organized. The directions are detailed and easy to follow. I made the Moroccan Spinach Lentil Soup with Lemon and it is wonderful. The fresh lemon at the end made the dish. I'll be making many of the recipes. There is an extensive chapter on Vegan Proteins (seitan) and many of the other recipes build on these recipes. I can't wait to try the Reuben. I'll be turning to this cookbook a lot.
